FaceMap® brings skin measurement data to life. By transforming TEWL and skin hydration readings into high-resolution facial maps, the software provides a complete visual and quantitative assessment of skin barrier function across the face.

Advanced interpolation technology creates continuous, full-face representations from discrete measurement points, revealing subtle regional differences that conventional assessments may miss. This spatially resolved approach enables researchers, clinicians, and product developers to better understand skin physiology, monitor treatment outcomes, and evaluate skincare efficacy with greater precision.

The result is a clearer, more comprehensive view of skin health, powered by data-driven visualisation.

The software enables users to:

  • Import TEWL or hydration measurements; TEWL is measured using AquaFlux™ AF200, while skin hydration is assessed using the Epsilon™ E100
  • Generate 3D facial meshes and 2D image mappings
  • Generate colour-coded distribution maps of TEWL and hydration
  • Enable quantitative comparison of longitudinal datasets, including pre- and post-intervention measurements, for objective treatment evaluation

Real-Time Mapping

The software supports live facial visualisation using a webcam and allows pre-recorded TEWL and hydration data to be uploaded and mapped onto the facial image, generating continuous surface maps.

Image-Based Mapping

FaceMap® enables the visualisation of TEWL and hydration data on previously saved face images. After loading a face image and importing the measurement data, the software generates a continuous surface map and displays it on the image.
